Fifth Blog Prompt

According to Hjortshoj, a predatory reader is a strategy of reading that can be useful because it can help get what you need out of the text you're reading. Hjortshoj says that you need to choose different strategies to use to read different reading assignments. If you learn different reading strategies then you can know different reading assignments better or more in depth. Reading involves strategies that you can learn instead of just simply reading. According to Hjortshoj, being a successful reader means that you understand that there are strategies and different ways to read to think beyond of what you have read. If you don't know the five steps of the writing process then your first draft might be okay, but you should learn the different ways to know what to expect in your writing. You will know what you did wrong the first time and now you can learn from your mistakes so you can have a good paper. The one draft and done model means getting directly into something. Instead of writing a paper without using any strategies you should jot down your ideas and thoughts so that your paper can be good. The writer should use the five writing skills in order to be successful in writing.
The five categories of the writing process according to Hjortshoj are:
Prewriting where a person figures out what to write about and they choose a topic.
Drafting which is jotting down your points and ideas on a paper and arranging them.
Revising which is your ideas and points and rearranging the paper.
Editing which is looking back at your paper and check for grammatical errors and finding your tone.
Publishing which is the final step where the writer submit their paper.

The fairy tale that I am going to write about is Little Red Riding Hood. The story was that one beautiful day Little Red Riding Hood was sent by her mother to take some goodies to her grandmother. Before Little Red Riding Hood left her mother told her not to talk to strangers and don't get distracted by anything. After watching the short film it began with a woman and man inside an elevator and she turns on her music on her phone and so does the man, and they keep turning up their volume to hear their music louder than one another. Other people began to enter the elevator and they play their music and they all try to have their music louder than each other. In the end, another man enters the elevator and he has a big boombox so everyone turns their music off because they assume that his music will obviously be much louder. Everyone turns their music off because they all know that they won't overpower the man with the boombox.
